What We're Looking For

The Security Workflow Analyst will be part of the ISS Support Services team that falls under the IT department of Information Systems and Services (ISS) which is responsible for user security and workflow associated with Ignite (Oracle Cloud implementation of Human Resource Management and Financials), Banner Student and Paciolan Ticketing. This position will report to the Director of Support Services and will serve as a key partner to vendors and University faculty/ staff.

The Security Workflow Analyst will work with campus partners in support of security and workflow as it applies to Oracle Cloud HCM, ERP and Grant Management. This position will also help support user security and role management for other campus systems (Ellucian Banner Student and Paciolan Ticketing) where user security and role management must be separated from functional owners. The Security Workflow position is expected to deliver excellent customer service to both end-users and business process owners; play a vital role in monitoring monthly and quarterly updates/releases for changes related to security and workflow; identifying improvements, assisting with configurations and data access, and be responsible for testing and validating changes. Job candidates must be self-directed, creative, strategic, innovative, and customer service oriented.

A Bachelor's Degree, two years of relevant experience and an active Christian faith are required. Up to five years of relevant experience is preferred.

Work will be performed in an approved remote / hybrid work environment that may include travel to Waco for on-campus/in-person activities/meetings as required.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
  • SQL - Basic level experience required to perform the job
  • Proficiency understanding how systems secure users and data and the ability to understand those concepts between supported systems.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, as well as oral and written communication skills
  • Extremely customer focused.
  • Solid analytical and communication skills for continuous interaction with IT and the business users
  • Enterprise system experience (Oracle Cloud (preferred), Peoplesoft, Banner)
  • Experience with Oracle tools for running reports, extracting data and updating information.
  • Environment lifecycle experience as it relates to scripting and maintaining user security with vendor tools. (Auto-provisioning, Auto-Deprovisioning, Custom roles, environment refreshes, vendor updates, adopting new modules)
  • Jira (used for project, task, issue tracking)
  • Microsoft Tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams)
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission
  • Comply with university policies
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance

What You Will Do
  • Establish new users to systems by managing and assigning role level access and data permissions.
  • Manage and fulfill new user requests for system authorization to supported application systems.
  • Troubleshoot access issues among supported application systems.
  • Create and maintain system workflows and notifications.
  • Work with functional users on understanding and developing workflow logic.
  • Provide support for environment refreshes from Production as it relates to user security, test users, data access.
  • Create and estimate task lists, projects and timelines as it pertains to security projects.
  • Gather feedback from end users to continue to improve user security/workflow process and procedures.
  • Show a strong understanding of Enterprise Application system security / workflow tools and configurations (Oracle Cloud, Banner, Peoplesoft).
  • Demonstrate problem solving, analytic and troubleshooting skills associated with resolving access issues.
  • Study manuals, texts, and tutorials as necessary to obtain the required expertise on University Information systems as it relates to security and workflow.
  • Ability to comply with University policies

The budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is $55,000 - $60,000. The full salary range for this position classification is $51,569.56 - $85,089.77.

This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certification, analysis of internal equity, and other business and organizational needs
