Overnight Lead Information Desk Attendant

Position Summary:
The Overnight Lead Information Desk Attendant will provide a high level of customer service to students, staff, and visitors at the 24-hour information desk.
Duties may include:
- Mail distribution
- Issuing building access
- Helping residents with a wide variety of questions and concerns
- Handle confidential information
- Assist with building security
- Provide leadership and guidance to the information desk team
- Perform administrative tasks
- Assist the Resident Services Manager
- Working overnight shifts
- Being a resource in Housing policies and procedures
- Independently solve problems within the scope of their authority
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- None
- Experience providing customer service
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience working as an Information Desk Attendant or in a related position
- Experience living in a residence hall
Demonstrated ability to:
- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Solve problems and troubleshoot a variety of issues
- Accurately complete tasks with high attention to detail
- Use word processing, spreadsheet, and email software
- Use computer systems to store and organize information
- Explain complex policies and procedures
- Work with minimal supervision
- Follow written instructions
- Work under pressure in a high-volume environment
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
Ability to:
- Move about and between venues for extended periods of time up to a full day of work in any weather
- Place and retrieve items at a variety of heights for an extended period of time
- Lift, carry or otherwise move 10 pounds regularly
- Lift, carry or otherwise move 50 pounds occasionally
