Location

Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Job Summary

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for nine-month, full-time, non-tenure track, Limited Term Instructor or Limited Term Assistant Professor of Physics faculty positions in the Department of Physics with a preferred start date of August 2024. This position is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.

Responsibilities
  • Teaching undergraduate calculus and non-calculus based introductory physics lectures, recitations, and laboratories.

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

Required Qualifications

For Limited Term Instructor:
  • A Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a discipline related to Physics or a closely related discipline is required.

OR
  • A Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a non-related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline is required.


For Limited Term Assistant Professor:
  • A Doctoral degree or foreign equivalent in Physics or a closely related discipline is required.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with current evidence-based instructional practices, such as active learning
  • Evidence of incorporation of modern instructional technologies into the classroom
  • Experience teaching on-line or hybrid courses
  • Record of past teaching at the undergraduate university level
