Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

The Coles College of Business at Kennesaw State University is located northwest of Atlanta and serves approximately 9,000 students. We offer ten different majors in our Bachelor of Business Administration and seven graduate programs including our PhD program in Business Administration. Coles College of Business is fully accredited by AACSB in business and accounting, among the top 2% of business schools in the world.

Located in the Northwest of Atlanta, Michael J. Coles College of Business is fully accredited by AACSB-International and serves around 9,000 students. The Department of Information Systems and Security consists of 30+ full-time faculty members and offers undergraduate degrees in Information Systems, Information Security and Assurance, and Cybersecurity; and graduate degrees in Information Systems (MSIS), Healthcare Management and Informatics (MSHMI), Digital Financial Technologies (FINTECH), and a dual MBA-MSIS degree. The department also offers an IS concentration in the Ph.D. (Business Administration) program. The academic programs at the department embrace applied learning and actively pursue industry engagements to offer students a transformational experience. Our faculty members have diverse research interests offering collaboration opportunities. Job Summary

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a nine-month, full time, non-tenure track, Limited Term Instructor or Limited Term Assistant Professor of Information Systems and Security faculty position in the Department of Information Systems and Security, with a preferred start date of August 2024. Rank will be determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with experience. This position is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.

Responsibilities
  • Teaching courses in principles of information security, information systems management, software assurance, application development, or other courses related to information systems and/or information security and assurance.
  • Some service to the department, college, and/or university is expected.

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

Required Qualifications

For a Limited Term Instructor:
  • A Master's degree, or its foreign equivalent, in information systems, information security, or a closely related field is required

For a Limited Term Assistant Professor:
  • Terminal/Doctorate degree, or its foreign equivalent, in information systems, information security, or a closely related field


Preferred Qualifications
  • Industry experience
  • Licenses and certifications in information systems, information security, or cybersecurity
  • Experience teaching on-line or hybrid courses
  • Record of past teaching
  • ABD (degree must be earned by start date) or PhD
