The Physics & Engineering Physics department at Fordham University invites applications for The Kim B. and Stephen E. Bepler Chair in Physics. This endowed Chair, made possible through a generous gift from the Beplers, will focus on Biological Physics / Biophysics. Successful candidates will possess a record of scholarly activity in these areas suitable for a tenured appointment at the rank of Associate or Full Professor. The Bepler Chair has a 5-year term with the expectation of renewal for sustained scholarly productivity and comes with a reduced teaching load.



The Kim B. and Stephen E. Bepler Chair in Physics Position:

  • Candidates must have a Ph. D. degree in Physics or a related discipline with a focus on Biological Physics, and should have a demonstrated record for teaching excellence and the highest standards of scholarship, and professional activity in their research.

  • The applicant must be able to teach a variety of courses in Physics at the undergraduate level and have the potential to engage undergraduates in research. Our location in New York City provides many opportunities for collaborative research.

Salary Range: $104,000 to $150,000, plus benefits for the spring 2023 term. The benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance; flexible spending accounts; retirement plans; life insurance; short and long-term disability; employee assistance program (EAP); and tuition remission.
