Primary Purpose of Position:
The primary purpose of this position is to provide optimal and excellent customer service to North Carolina Central University prospective, transfer and current students by providing support from the initial stages of inquiry (prospective student); admission process; advisement; enrollment; matriculation; retention and graduation. The successful candidate will assist Extended Studies with the implementation of policies, procedures, recruitment, and reporting. This individual uses discretionary judgement (as well as assistance from academic professionals) in the evaluation of applications. Duties require high level judgement and decision making; public contact with a range of internal and external constituents; thorough knowledge of office procedures, and the ability to maintain accuracy and confidentiality of all student information, files, and records. Position will be responsible for managing projects for NCCU online enrollment, special student populations (i.e. Stop-outs, Amazon, military and Veterans), retrieving and evaluation of transcripts, specifically student engagement campaigns, social media campaigns, and student grievances/complaints.

Minimum Education/Experience:
Masters degree; or an equivalent combination of a Bachelors degree and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
The successful candidate must possess knowledge of FERPA guidelines and NC Central and UNC System policies and procedures; knowledge of Web navigation; knowledge of Ellucian Banner or an or equivalency system; knowledge of office and record management; knowledge of preparing correspondence; knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint) Applications; ability to work independently with little or no supervision; to take initiative to see projects and assignments through to completion; to learn, interpret and analyze information to make necessary decisions; to exercise judgment and discretion in problem solving; to plan, prioritize and organize workflow; ability to work flexible schedules; excellent analytical and organizational skills along with written and oral communication skills, excellent editing skills; great interpersonal skills to interact effectively and diplomatically with a wide range of individuals in a high pressure environment.
Experience with social media platforms (i.e. Twitter, Facebook, Instagram); Experience with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software; Communication Tools (i.e. Constant Contact, HootSuite); Ability to research via the Internet and other resources.
