Job Summary
The Assistant Director of Transfer Recruitment will supervise staff and lead strategic and tactical efforts to recruit, admit, and onboard undergraduate transfer, returning, post-baccalaureate, transient, and auditing students to Augusta University. The Assistant Director will have a commitment to transfer and adult student success, be able to develop collaborative relationships with academic departments to enhance the transfer student experience and exhibit the strategic and analytical capacity to create a seamless admission experience for all students. The Assistant Director will work in collaboration with academic departments, student success offices, as well as technical/community college partners to meet the enrollment goals of the institution.
Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to:
DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT RECRUITMENT STRATEGIES:
Develop and implement a data-informed strategic recruitment plan to meet university enrollment goals for undergraduate transfer, returning/stop-out, post-baccalaureate, transient, and auditing students.
Visit two-year colleges and transfer fairs to meet with prospective students.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with top feeder institutions and their leaders.
Develop and implement in-person and virtual recruitment events.
Assess the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and make appropriate adjustments to meet goals while ensuring alignment with institutional goals for unique student populations and academic quality.
Remain current in recruitment and marketing best practices at the national, regional, and state levels.
Maintain membership and active participation in professional organizations and USG working groups.
Analyze historical university admission and enrollment patterns and trends to guide recruitment decisions and efforts.
Utilize USG and institutional data to understand system and institutional enrollment, transfer, and competition trends.
Partner closely with the Assistant Director of Transfer Operations to ensure collaborative recruitment and processing timelines and clear communication.
Collaborate with institutional partners, specifically in Academic Affairs, to develop targeted recruitment and communication efforts.
STUDENT COMMUNICATION:
Develop and maintain customized and personalized communication plans for undergraduate transfer, returning, post-baccalaureate, transient, and auditing students for all programs of study and all funnel stages.
Assist with the creation of print and electronic recruitment collateral.
Ensure timely and relevant responses to all student communications through phone, email, and text.
Maintain relevant Admissions websites.
SUPERVISION OF STAFF:
Recruit, select, train, and supervise staff within the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
Provide leadership for performance evaluations, goal setting, timelines, and leave compliance.
Manage essential projects.
Direct staff recruitment efforts aligned with the recruitment plan for undergraduate transfer, returning, post-baccalaureate, transient, and auditing students.
ARTICULATION AGREEMENTS:
Lead in the development and maintenance of articulation agreements and MOUs with partner colleges to raise the profile of transfer at Augusta University.
Aid in the seamless transfer of students from identified institutions.
OTHER DUTIES:
Contribute to the overall success of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions by performing other essential duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
Serve and actively engage on various institution, division, and unit committees to contribute to overall undergraduate student enrollment, retention, and success.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an Accredited College or University and at least 2 years experience in recruitment, marketing or other higher education fields.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree from an Accredited College or University.
Experience working with transfer or adult students
Experience supervising full-time staff
Familiarity with secondary and postsecondary school systems
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of Microsoft Office environments.
SKILLS
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
ABILITIES
Willingness to learn Slate, Banner, Parchment Raptor and DegreeWorks.
Demonstrated ability to work with a wide range of people and commitment to creating a welcoming environment.
Demonstrated ability to efficiently and effectively solve problems and initiate and implement projects independently.
Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days; M-F (Work outside of normal business hours may be required)
Pay Band: B10
Salary: $52,500.00/Annually-$55,921/Annually
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position

Conditions of Employment
