Job Description:

The Administrative Coordinator position is responsible for providing high level support of the Legorreta Cancer Center at Brown University. This position utilizes the components of the National Cancer Institute's Cancer Center Support Grant to guide their work with a focus on supporting team science and facilitating transdisciplinary collaboration. This is accomplished by the development of gatherings that further these ends; the management of internal and external communications, and marketing. In addition, this position will provide day-to-day administrative support including scheduling and coordinating meetings, assisting faculty, staff, and visitors with travel plans and expense reports; assisting with financial functions; and providing back up support to other administrative staff.

This is a fixed term position with a current end date of one year from hire, which may be extended based upon available funding.

Job Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Required: Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 1-2 years of related administrative experience

  • General accounting experience strongly preferred.

  • Experience in an academic or non-profit setting preferred

  • Prior calendar management experience strongly preferred

  • And/or equivalent combination of education and work experience
