(Primary Location for Job Responsibilities) Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.
Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.
Job Summary
Provides support across archival and records management functions, including the appraisal, scheduling, and disposition of university records, and assists in managing archival, rare book, and digital collections. Processes both digital and physical materials through arrangement, description, cataloging, metadata management, preservation, and reference services. Contributes to the implementation of projects and best practices within archival and records management programs.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1-7 -
1. Supports the Digital Archivist in designing and implementing workflows and strategies for managing the university records lifecycle, including the transfer of digital records to the Archives.
2. Applies knowledge of metadata schemas, controlled vocabularies, and industry best practices in digital processing.
3. Utilizes file characterization tools, information utilities, and scripts to support and streamline digital processing workflows.
4. Assists the Records Manager with appraising digital university records for retention, disposition, or archival transfer.
5. Collaborates with the Institutional Repository Manager to develop and enhance a comprehensive collection of digital institutional records for access through the library's platform.
6. Provides support for reference requests related to digital materials.
7. Contributes to archival and records management projects across departments and units.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an institution of higher education.
Other Required Qualifications
Current, valid, and unrestricted driver's license
Required Experience
One (1) year of experience
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Educational Qualifications
Advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education
Preferred Experience
Experience working in a library or an archival environment
Proposed Salary
The salary range for this position is $45,900 - $49,000 annually. Offers are based on relevant experience.

Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines
KNOWLEDGE
Familiarity with command-line tools
Understanding digital archive best practices and standards
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite)

Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management, and presentation skills
Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
