Position Summary
The Assistant Director of Enrollment at the Graduate School of Social Work reports directly to the Associate Director of Enrollment and Financial Aid and will have first level enrollment duties, admission and operations functions and responsibilities for the assigned program - Denver Campus, MSW@Denver online, or distance programs. Duties will include developing original data analyses and assessment tools related to GSSW strategic enrollment initiatives for all program cohorts. The Assistant Director will be responsible for developing strong relationships with external and internal organizations, GSSW faculty, administrators, students and alumni. In addition, the Assistant Director will develop and implement prospective student pipeline initiatives, recruitment operations and yield events.
Essential Functions
GSSW MSW Programs Admissions and Advanced Standing and Two-Year Cohorts
- Co-manage recruitment, admission selection, and yield activities for all MSW programs; evaluate applications and make admissions and financial aid recommendations; develop digital outreach strategies, including for underrepresented groups; analyze data to strengthen conversion throughout the enrollment funnel; collaborate with Enrollment leadership on annual planning and continuous improvement; lead recruitment and enrollment of military veterans; guide international applicants through requirements and resources; advise prospective students on admissions and financial aid; conduct informational sessions across multiple platforms; coordinate in state, out of state, and virtual recruitment events; and travel as needed, including evenings and weekends, to support recruitment and committee work.
SLATE CRM Data Research, Assessment and Analysis
- Serve as co-liaison to Graduate Studies for SLATE development and performance; design analytical tools and visual reports to monitor enrollment trends across programs; produce weekly demographic and academic applicant profiles; develop ad hoc historical enrollment reports in SLATE and Banner; support creation of annual qualitative and quantitative analyses aligned with strategic enrollment goals; co-manage data imports/exports between Banner, Salesforce, and SLATE as well as user access requests; and maintain advanced technical expertise in Banner, SLATE, and online best practices through ongoing training and conferences.
Communications
- Work collaboratively with GSSW's Office of Communications to develop and execute digital and SMS campaigns for the purpose of recruiting and enrolling prospective students in all GSSW programs. Analyze and report the effectiveness of digital marketing campaigns to all populations and their conversion rate along the enrollment funnel.

- This position may supervise a team of student staff and/or Admission Counselor(s)

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 3 years of enrollment experience in a higher education setting
- Proficient in Technolutions SLATE, Elucian Banner and Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrated high levels of analytical and quantitative skills.
- Excellent understanding of highly selective admission processes and online enrollment systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters Degree and 3 years of graduate enrollment experience at a highly selective college or university
Working Environment
- Hybrid standard office environment
- Noise level is quiet to moderate
- In-state and out-of-state travel
- Some evening and weekend work hours
Physical Activities
- Ability to work in front of a computer for extended periods of time.
- Occasionally required to move about the office/campus.
Work Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm with some evening and weekend work hours. In accordance with the University's flexible work policy, this position is eligible to be considered for partial remote work. Further details regarding this plan will be determined with the hiring manager and are dependent on the division and team specific needs.

Salary Grade Number:
The salary grade for the position is 9.
Salary Range:
The salary range for this position is $58,000-$65,000.
The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidate's sex or any other protected status.
