Job Summary
The Associate Director of Enrollment Navigation leads post-admission enrollment support, with a strong focus on student experience, service quality, and ease of navigation through enrollment processes. This role ensures students receive timely, clear, and coordinated support, helping them remove enrollment-related barriers. The Associate Director oversees Enrollment Navigators and provides day-to-day operational coordination for Registrar and Financial Aid processing staff within a matrix structure. The role emphasizes removing barriers, reducing confusion, and delivering responsive, student-centered service, while partnering with functional experts to ensure accuracy, compliance, and consistency. The Associate Director consistently exhibits service, collaboration, and excellence as championed by the Division of Enrollment, Marketing and Student Success.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct supervision, coaching, and performance management for Enrollment Navigators, ensuring consistent service delivery and effective caseload management
- Provide day-to-day operational oversight for Registrar and Financial Aid processing staff within a matrix structure, in collaboration with functional area experts and central leadership
- Oversee post-admission enrollment readiness and barrier resolution for new and current students, including documentation, financial aid steps, registration readiness, and administrative holds
- Coordinate workflows and communication among Enrollment Navigators, Registrar, Financial Aid, Student Success, Housing, and other campus partners to ensure timely issue resolution
- Serve as an escalation point for complex enrollment-related student cases and ensure issues are resolved efficiently and in alignment with institutional policy
- Monitor service demand, processing timelines, and caseload distribution to ensure staffing and workflows support peak enrollment and registration periods
- Ensure accurate, timely documentation of student interactions and enrollment outcomes across CRM and student information systems
- Identify recurring enrollment barriers, workflow gaps, and process inefficiencies, and collaborate with functional partners to implement operational improvements
- Use enrollment and service data to inform decision-making, report trends, and provide recommendations to leadership
- Support enrollment cycles, targeted outreach efforts, and enrollment-related events as needed to promote on-time registration and persistence
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience
- Four or more years of progressive experience in enrollment services, registrar operations, financial aid, or student success
- Demonstrated experience in building high-performing teams and managing operational workflows
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications

- Masters degree
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Slate) and student information systems strongly preferred
Proposed Salary
$60,617 - $70,000
This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
