(Primary Location for Job Responsibilities) Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.

Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Job Summary

Plays a critical role in the solicitation of leadership gifts ($1,000 - $24,999.99) to annual giving and KSU Foundation funds, leadership annual giving societies, and identifying major gift prospects.
Responsible for solicitation of leadership level gifts from alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and friends. Creates, manages, and implements leadership annual giving programs. Develops and manages strategic plans, timelines and giving program evaluations.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for the solicitation of annual gifts of $1,000 - $24,999.99, often in 1:1 virtual or in-person meetings.
2. Partners with major gift officers to coordinate, research and integrate Leadership Annual Giving participation asks into existing gift strategies as appropriate
3. Identifies major gift prospects and partners with major gift officers to cultivate and solicit gifts over $25,000
4. Engages with KSU constituents through multiple channels such as email, phone, schedule meetings, and events
5. Builds donor pipeline to ensure a steady pool of prospects for KSU's future philanthropic success and comprehensive campaign
6. Works with leadership to manage and continuously strengthen the annual giving department's performance of giving rates and dollars raised
7. Builds and maintains a current portfolio of prospects
8. Collaborates closely with advancement services staff to populate and manage the portfolio so that prospects are evenly distributed between identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship
9. Records contact reports in the CRM database to share relevant constituent information and meet an annual interaction goal in a timely manner
10. Coordinates with key internal and external stakeholders to actively promote awareness of annual giving's role and impact
11. Supports and partners with KSU Alumni Association board members to increase alumni engagement, outreach and giving
12. Responsible for securing matches and challenges for KSU's annual Giving Day, providing strategic oversight to increase donor outreach on that day.
13. Responsible for the performance and strategic growth of donor recognition programs such as President's Parliament and Leadership Giving Society (including project management of appeals and events for these programs)
14. Represents the leadership annual giving program with alumni and colleagues internal and external to the organization
15. Conducts program research to identify best practices and stay up to date on trends in Leadership annual giving
16. Responsible for administration of budget, forecasting, policies, and procedures relating to leadership annual giving within the overall annual giving program
17. Attends alumni, stewardship, sporting events, and board meetings which will require some travel and weekend and evening work.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience

Other Required Qualifications
Current, valid and unrestricted driver's license

Required Experience
Two (2) years of related work experience with increased responsibility and project management

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Educational Qualifications
An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field

Preferred Experience
Experience in Raiser's Edge
Experience in educational advancement

Proposed Salary

The budgeted salary range for this role is $58,000 - $72,600 annually. Offers are based on relevant experience.

Ability to cross-train in other areas of annual giving to provide support and coverage when needed
Demonstrated ability to successfully design, develop and manage significant program initiatives

Demonstrated readiness and ability to listen and to work with others collaboratively to reach critical decisions, and the ability to communicate effectively about difficult decisions.
Able to be flexible
Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines

KNOWLEDGE
Strong knowledge and demonstrated ability in using a CRM database, preferably Raiser's Edge NXT, GiveCampus, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud

SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
Professional demeanor and presentation
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
