Job Description:

Position Purpose

The Water Treatment Technician performs tests and maintains proper chemical level and heating systems, steam generators and AC water towers.

Job Qualifications and Competencies

High School diploma/GED
Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license is required.
Providence Boiler Operator's License for the City of Providence.
Must maintain required licenses as a condition of employment.
Two years' experience in chemical water treatment and actual boiler operation.
Some academic background in chemistry or training in the practical application of chemicals preferred.
A thorough knowledge of closed heating systems, steam generator stations, and A/C water towers
Background in mechanical injection systems
Must be able to follow standard procedures, read and understand blueprints.
