Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for the direction and management of the Payroll (P/R), Accounts Payable (A/P), Capital Assets Accounting (C/A) and financial systems in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, federal state and local law, grant or contract requirements, industry best practices and College of DuPage procedures.
Qualifications:
- Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business with a minimum of twelve (12) semester hours in Accounting required.
- Master's Degree or CPA preferred.
- Experience
- Minimum three (3) years' experience managing financial systems implementations, collaborating with technical and non-technical staff, and software consultants required. At least three (3) years' in accounting and financial systems and three (3) years' in management of payroll and accounts payable preferred.
- Minimum three (3) years' experience working with upper levels of management and federal and local government officials required.
- Thorough knowledge of MSOffice products and various ERP systems required.
- Knowledge of SQL and other programming languages required.
- Knowledge of credit card processing standards and practices required.
- Five (5) to six (6) years' in accounting and financial systems with at least four (4) years' as a professional accountant and five (5) years in management capacity with overseeing payroll, accounts payable, fixed assets and financial systems and three (3) years' experience with full cycle financial systems implementation and development preferred.
Starting salary beginning at $112,170, based on education and experience.
Competitive starting salaries are dependent on education and experience. College of DuPage also offers a generous benefits plan.
