Job Description:

The University Human Resources Coordinator provides support to student employment processes and functions for undergraduate and graduate students. The student employment transactions supported by this position include new positions, job requisitions, compensation changes, edit positions, and graduate student payments.

This position will assist with daily processing of all human resources related activities for 1800+ graduate students receiving stipend support. The Human Resources Coordinator will also assist with student employment processing for undergraduate, graduate, and medical students. The volume of student workers is 5400+ annually. This role will assist with running reports, analyzing data, and accurately preparing spreadsheets for mass data uploads to Workday. The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for effectively communicating University policies, procedures, and services related to graduate student payments and processing, and undergraduate student employment. Provide outstanding customer service to related inquiries in person, by phone, or email. Respond to student inquiries as needed. Ensure all student HR data is complete, accurate, and compliant in Workday.




Major Responsibilities:

-Assist with the processes to initiate, reconcile, and process monthly payroll activity for all graduate students in Workday.

-Assist with student employment processing for undergraduate, graduate, and medical students.

-Audit and monitor HR core data.

-Project based work and other duties as assigned

-Support HR Service Center

Educations and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education & experience.
  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of related experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organization skills and great attention to detail, a keen ability to prioritize and multi-task, and an ability to adhere to and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent financial and analytical skills.
  • Technical experience developing reports and spreadsheets.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation and excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentation).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel.
  • Experience processing large volume of HR/payroll data transactions.
  • Experience with maintaining employment and payroll records in a large system featuring employee and manager self-service.
