Position Summary:
Connecticut State Community College offers a broad array of credit and non-credit workforce development and continuing education programs in addition to its traditional academic degree programs. These are intended to respond to the educational needs of the populations served by the campuses.

The Workforce Development & Continuing Education Aide provides administrative services in support of Workforce Development (non-credit) programs at CT State CC Capital campus. The Workforce Development & Continuing Education Aide's main function is to provide information, assistance and to offer exceptional customer service to the students, individuals requesting information, instructors, and staff.

Example of Job Duties:
Under the direction of the Director of Workforce Development and Continuing Education or another administrator, the Workforce Development and Continuing Education Aide is accountable for contributing to the successful operation of the campus workforce development and continuing education programs through effective performance in these essential functional areas:

  • Providing workforce development and continuing education program information.
  • Registration and Scheduling.
  • Administrative support.

Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's degree in an appropriately related field or a combination of education, training, and experience would lead to the competencies required for successfully performing the position's essential duties.

Incumbents are required to have demonstrated advanced knowledge and abilities in the following:

  • Office administration
  • Registration procedures


Candidates must possess proven ability to effectively work with culturally, linguistically, and ethnically diverse faculty, staff, and students. They are expected to have excellent interpersonal oral and written communication skills along with strong Information technology literacy skills such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in Workforce development and continuing education operations.
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as Banner student information system. *
* Incumbent must attend and successfully complete Student Information System (SIS) training.

Salary:
$34,06 hourly.
