The Alumni Engagement team is dedicated to understanding alumni, strengthening pride and awareness, and facilitating ways to grow and sustain the base of alumni engaging with and supporting Boston University. The team has oversight of alumni digital strategy, alumni experience operations, and measuring engagement-through both attitudinal and behavioral dimensions-of more than 350,000 alumni across the globe. This team works in close collaboration with colleagues in Advancement, and across departments and schools at Boston University.
Communications Coordinator
The Communications Coordinator supports Boston University Advancement's mission of engaging the BU alumni community by building and deploying email communications that reach our 350,000+ alumni around the world every year and contributing to blog hosted on the BU Alumni & Friends website. Manage workload to ensure timely completion of project deliverables. Track progress, communicate updates with colleagues, and proactively adjust priorities to meet shifting deadlines.
-
Hire, supervise, and mentor student employees supporting editorial and email projects. Assign tasks, review their work, and provide ongoing feedback to support both project needs and the students' professional growth.

-
Basic knowledge of email marketing platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, MailChimp, Constant Contact, or similar.

Familiarity with website content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress, or similar, and basic understanding of web design principles.
-
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, working with a diverse and collaborative set of university colleagues.
