Job Description:
What We Are Looking For
Baylor University is seeking a Senior Coordinator for Communications and Member Services to provide leadership to the marketing, communications, and creative design of all departmental programs and initiatives. This position collaborates with department staff and SHW partners to conceptualize and implement messaging campaigns related to Competitive Sports, Fitness, Outdoor Adventure and other Campus Recreation Special Events. The Senior Coordinator will also oversee the Member Services operations and enhance the student experience within in the Student Life Center along with other recreation events.
A Master's degree and two years of relevant work experience are required. A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.
*All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
What You Will Do
Manage Departmental Communications
- Ensure compliance with Baylor graphic standards, departmental values and goals, and program timelines
- Manage all social media accounts for Campus Recreation
- Update and manage the digital signage in all Campus Recreation facilities
- Update and manage the Website and printed external signage
- Serve as Campus Rec representative on the Student Life Communications Team
Manage Member Services Operations
- Oversee the SLC Front Desk Operations, Marina Desk Operations, Russell Gym Access and operations. Coordinate with Reservations staff and Risk Management policies to ensure all patrons are following the written protocols for safety
- Manage the Incident and Facility Documentation to keep in compliance with Risk Management
- Be proficient at using and training others on Fusion, primarily the member management module
- Be proficient using other software needed for programs (Canva, Active Camp Management, Fusion Play, Fusion Club, Fusion Fitness, etc.)
Oversee Student Staff of Front Desk and Communications Team
- Market, interview, hire, train, schedule, and evaluate student staff in the areas of customer services, personal accountability, and product
- Front desk/member services
- Marketing & communications
- Part-time facility managers
Risk Management
- Ensure policies and protocols are being followed during informal recreational usage and play by both internal and external constituencies
- Ensure documentation and communication follow university and departmental guidelines
Assist with Software Administration
- Work in various programs to produce reports and graphic displays for programs and assessment needs
- Work with Asst. Director to handle needs of the department from vendors in conjunction with Baylor IT department
Additional Functions
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission
- Ability to comply with university policies
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
