Description:
The School of Music at Baylor University seeks an engaging and collaborative educator who can excel at teaching undergraduate and graduate voice students. This full-time, tenure-track appointment will begin August 2026.

Appointment Date: August 2026

Responsibilities:

Teach applied voice at the undergraduate and graduate levels
Teach allied courses such as Song Literature, Diction, Vocal Pedagogy, or other subjects as assigned
Maintain an active performance profile on and off campus
Participate actively in Vocal Studies recruiting efforts and auditions
Participate in School of Music and University service as appropriate
Engage in significant professional and creative activities and/or research within the discipline, and contribute to the intellectual life and mission of Baylor University and the School of Music

RANK AND SALARY

Full-time, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor
Rank and salary competitive and commensurate with experience

Qualifications:

Master of Music degree required; Doctorate or equivalent professional experience preferred.
Experience as a studio voice teacher at the collegiate level is required.
Record of distinguished vocal performance on a national and/or international level is required.
All School of Music faculty are expected to demonstrate commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment for our students.

Link to a 30-minute video of voice teaching, ideally with a college-aged student, including vocalizing and repertoire work
Links to recent performance videos featuring a variety of repertoire and totaling about 20 minutes in length
