Position Summary
Reporting to the Manager of Building Services at Rose Hill, this position is responsible for supervising and providing advanced level work related to the maintenance and repair of campus interior/exterior structures, and furnishings.

This position requires work hours from Monday to Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm. This position is on call for emergency duties.

Essential Functions
Responsible for supervising carpentry staff, assigning and evaluating work.

Repairs and maintains flooring, roofs, doors, stairs, windows, signs, and other wooden/metal building/campus structures and components.

Makes major masonry repairs, including brick, tiles (ceramic, vinyl, other), concrete, asphalt, etc.

Services and installs bathroom walls, showers, enclosures, and other bathroom interior components

Responds to service calls; troubleshoots problems and service issues. Assists other carpenters and other trades on difficult tasks.

Conducts and assists in planning summer maintenance program for residence halls.

Conducts tests of all carpentry related safety equipment and maintains required safety logs. Responsible for cleanliness an appearance of Carpenters' Shop.

Monitors supply consumption and inventory records.

Coordinates Carpentry operations with staff, completes work orders, and interacts with Facilities Maintenance Software.

Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Safety certifications on table saw and other shop equipment as required,

Valid Driver's License.

Ability to follow written instructions (work orders) and read furniture and equipment assembly schematics.

Must know how to use and operate power tools, gauges, computers, ladders, and other tools and equipment typical to this position.
