Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Direct responsibility for successful management, coordination, and supervision of the total Campus Services operation to include: Print Services, Mail Services, Warehouse Services, and Support Services including word processing and switchboard; coordinating these functions with the needs of faculty, staff, administration and students.

  • Provide responsible management and administration for the efficient operation of the Campus Services Department.
  • Directly supervise Campus Services Department Supervisors; indirectly supervise Mail, Warehouse, Print, and Support Services staff. Interview, hire, prepare job descriptions, conduct performance evaluations, administer disciplinary actions and recommend dismissal of staff as necessary; training and developing of employees.
  • Develop, manage and monitor budget for all Campus Services areas.
  • Approve expenditures; review financial statements and invoices.
  • Analyze operating costs and establish standard rates for internal allocations.
  • Monitor and insure timely and accurate monthly departmental charge backs are processed.
  • Monitor compliance with cash and credit card payment handling and processing established by the College.
  • Establish and enforce Campus Services office procedures, operational policies, and practices, including handling of exams and other sensitive documents.
  • Manage and coordinate efforts between departments in an efficient manner.
  • Conduct orientation for new employee training.
  • Provide technical problem solving and analytical reasoning expertise; advising on procedures and best methods to accomplish goals.
  • Research, plan and implement automation in all areas.
  • Research for written rationalizations and specifications for capital equipment.
  • Develop long range plans, area objectives and goals for all areas.
  • Generate reports and presentations for administration.
  • Analyze and prepare reports, special projects and custom work for all Campus Services areas.
  • Prepare Managed Print Services (MPS) Request for Proposal (RFP). Evaluate vendor qualification, provide written proposal to Board of Trustees, execute contract, and implementation of MPS.
  • Direct paper BID, including specifications and requirements.
  • Oversee physical layout of Campus Services to include supervision of equipment maintenance, renovation and safety standards.
  • Resolve customer complaints. Advise on procedures.
  • Interview vendors, test and evaluate equipment, attend seminars, workshops and demonstrations to remain abreast of technological advances; in order to plan, design, and recommend new, efficient and effective equipment purchases.
  • Create an environment with resources conducive to quality production work.
  • Serve on appropriate internal and external committees. Communicate with all levels within the organization as well as external vendors and contractors.
  • Other related duties as assigned.


  • Qualifications:

    • Education
      • Associate degree with emphasis on business or general office management required.
      • Bachelor's degree in management with Certificate in Office Technology Information preferred.
    • Experience
      • Five (5) years of experience in an education service or large office environment with at least three years in a management position required.
      • Knowledge of print and mail industry, computers and various software packages, including database, design, word processing, forms generation, spreadsheets and graphics required.
      • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills to assess operations, processes, and develop appropriate solutions/implementations required.
      • Exemplary customer service and people management skills, to include coaching, mentoring and collaboration required.
      • Proficiency in written and spoken English required.
      • Five to seven years of office management experience with considerable knowledge in the following areas: automated office, information systems, graphics, and telecommunications systems preferred.


    Working Conditions:

  • Computers, printers, calculators, copiers, electric typewriters, electronic switchboard and various telephone instruments throughout campus, postal equipment (postage meters, mail machines, automation equipment), graphic arts equipment, telecommunications equipment, miscellaneous finishing equipment, and small tools as needed.
  • Forty hours per week, but often requires additional hours.
  • Fast paced, demanding on time and physical energy.
  • This position requires a background check and drug screen.

    Hiring Range:
    12 Salary/Starting salary beginning at $75,131, based on experience.

    Competitive starting pay is dependent on education and experience.
