Evaluation Research Associate to complete data analysis and reports of data collected between Spring 2024-Spring 2025.

Job Description

As part of its work, the Netter Center is helping to support an innovative partnership with three of Penn's schools and West Philadelphia University-Assisted Community Schools (UACS) through the Health Sciences Education Pipeline Program.

The typical duties of the Evaluation Research Associate may include:
  • Establishing an evaluation timeline.
  • Collaborating with Penn and UACS faculty/staff/students collecting data to inform ongoing health sciences pipeline evaluation at UACS.
  • Entering program/pipeline student attendance data into a database, tracking activities, and generating de-identified datasets for evaluation use.
  • Facilitating and administering pre/post surveys, interviews, and focus groups with students, program alumni, and program coordinators at Penn (if new data are required - past data collected between Spring 2024-Spring 2025).
  • Coding survey and focus group/interview data and preparing data for analysis.
  • Analyzing data using appropriate quantitative and qualitative analytic software (SPSS and Atlas.ti).
  • Drafting a report based on findings and publications.


Requirements: Experience with the Pipeline program and research/evaluation methods. Ability to work with both quantitative and qualitative data. Strong communication skills (verbal and written).The ideal candidate is someone who likes to work with a variety of people and is interested in supporting secondary and post-secondary health sciences education. The ideal candidate should be highly flexible and able to work independently. A fast learner.

Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, and in alignment with salary ranges based on external market data for the job's level.
