Position Summary
Reporting to the Head Coach, Women's Basketball, the Strength & Conditioning Coach supports the women's basketball program by designing and implementing strength & conditioning protocols to include nutrition, rehabilitation, and injury prevention, and serves as a staff member of the program.

The position requires frequent travel, as well as evening and weekend hours.

Essential Functions
Designs, implements, and evaluates sport-specific strength, speed, and conditioning programs for the Women's Basketball team.

Utilizes advanced sports performance technology to monitor athlete recovery and optimize training.

Collects and enters performance and nutrition data; analyzes trends to support athlete development.

Develops individualized strength and nutrition plans based on athlete needs and behavioral habits.

Instructs student-athletes in proper training techniques and promotes injury prevention strategies.

Collaborates with the Head Coach, athletic training staff, and Strength & Conditioning team regarding injuries, recovery, and performance.

Assists with injury rehabilitation and supports the athletic training staff as needed.

Ensures safe, supervised use of strength & conditioning facilities at all times.

Contributes to recruiting efforts by supporting visits and preparing educational content.Maintains compliance with NCAA, Atlantic 10, and University policies; travels with the team as needed.This list is not intended to be an exhaustive list.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Health/Physical Education or a related field and a minimum of 3 years' experience required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) certification, or Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coach (CSCC) certification.

CPR and First Aid certification.
Understanding and knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.

Excellent computer skills.

High-level organizational skills.

Demonstrated commitment and motivation in student-athletes.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Proven success in all areas of strength and conditioning programing. Olympic style, lifts, plyometrics, speed development, conditioning and flexibility.

NSCA-CSCS certified.

First Aid/CPR/AED certified.


Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in athletics in a collegiate environment.
Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
