Position Summary
Reporting to the Associate Director of the Fordham Fund, the Coordinator, Fundraising Communications is primarily responsible for executing the Ram Line calling program, which employs student fundraisers to solicit philanthropic support from alumni and parents. The calling program is integral to the Fordham Fund's goal of growing donors and dollars in the $1-$25,000 gift range.

The incumbent will also support content development, writing, and story sourcing while serving as the social media lead for fundraising initiatives. Additionally, the Coordinator will assist with Development and University Relations' (DAUR's) marketing needs.

Frequent, evening, and some weekend work is required.



Essential Functions
Manages the daily function and overall strategy of The Ram Line calling program; Develops and implements a calling segmentation plan to optimize contact and donor retention rates; Strategically integrates the Ram Line calendar with the DAUR communications calendar, ensuring cohesive, donor-centric messaging to all stakeholders.

Recruits, onboards, and manages approximately 20 student employees.

Oversees and manages constituent follow-up and processing of data collected from each call session in collaboration with Advancement Services.

Creates comprehensive communications for the calling program, including verbal and written scripts for multiple channels.

Monitors and ensures program expenditures, including staffing hours, student compensation, and equipment, remain within the allocated budget.

Provides writing, content development, and channel support, ensuring fundraising messages are compelling, donor-centric, and aligned with university branding.

Identifies and develops impactful donor, student, and alumni stories in partnership with UMC to enhance multi-channel communications efforts.

Executes strategies to engage and grow donors in the $100-$500 range, working closely with student callers to ensure these donors are contacted regularly. Highlights prospects that offer the greatest opportunity for future growth and deeper engagement.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of two years of fundraising experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Demonstrated ability to effectively manage, train, coach, and motivate student employees.

Outstanding organizational and time management skills.

Sound judgment and ability to handle delicate situations with tact and diplomacy.

Ability to work independently.

Strong analytical skills and ability to think strategically.

Excellent communication skills and a demonstrated commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and discretion.

Ability to work well in a diverse team environment with a mix of students, alumni, and staff colleagues.

Ability to manage multiple projects.


Preferred Qualifications
Higher education fundraising experience.

Experience as a student caller or supervisor.

Experience working with fundraising software programs.
