Job Summary
The Instructional Coordinator provides leadership and instructional support for the Office of First and Second Year Experience. This role works closely with the Director and campus partners to advance student success initiatives that promote engagement, retention, and student achievement. The Instructional Coordinator contributes to the development and instruction of departmental courses, supports the design and assessment of student learning outcomes and satisfaction, and collaborates on programs that foster a successful transition to college life. The Instructional Coordinator consistently exhibits service, collaboration, and excellence as championed by the Division of Enrollment, Marketing, and Student Success.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Director and university partners to implement initiatives that enhance first- and second-year student success and engagement
- Support the planning and execution of programs that enhance first- and second-year student transition, engagement, and retention
- Manage the design, coordination, and delivery of departmental course content through Georgia Southern's learning management system
- Lead the development and facilitation of instructor training programs; provide ongoing instructional support to ensure high-quality course delivery
- Recruit, mentor, and supervise graduate teaching assistants supporting departmental instruction
- Contribute to the assessment and continuous improvement of departmental programs, curricula, and student learning outcomes
- Teach assigned courses within the department, demonstrating excellence in instruction and student support
- Assist with the collection and analysis of assessment data to evaluate student learning outcomes and improve course effectiveness

Proposed Salary
$50,173 - $53,450
This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
