College/Department Information
The Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University, we provide dental education to the next generation of professionals by offering hands-on education through innovative research, patient care, and service. Join other dental providers to improve the oral health of Georgia and beyond. The DCG was founded to provide the people of Georgia with quality dental care by educating students in dentistry. As a patient, you have the option to receive treatment in one of our three different practice models consisting of student clinics, resident care, or in the faculty practice. All dental treatments can be completed by the specialists in our facility. We also serve patients in more than 20 clinics across Georgia.
Job Summary
This role will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing educational programs by developing and designing CE course curricula, ensuring they are relevant and meet continuing education requirements. Promote CE programs through various channels, including email, social media, and print materials.
Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to:
COURSE DEVELOPMENT: Facilitates the design and development of course materials and learning resources in a variety of formats to support the unique teaching and learning; helps manage the organization of new and revised continuing education programs.
MARKETING: Assist with the marketing and advertising of DCG CE courses to include but not limited to maintaining the web pages, social media, and brochures. Plan and develop advertising campaigns. Ensure the information is current and attracts participants. Offer suggestions to enhance and expand marketing efforts. Ensure correct accreditation language and formatting on all promotional material used to advertise the continuing education activity, including LearningStream, social media, websites, and print materials.
LEARNING STREAM: Enter information into the CE software system and maintain the integrity of software information. Assist with software as needed with internal and outside individuals. Retrieve all data/report/ information from the system as needed.
Assists with the creation of courses and enrolling students as needed.
FILE RETENTION: Retain a comprehensive continuing education activity file, which includes complete data for each continuing education activity in LearningStream and a paper file copy for a minimum of six years from the activity date.
MAINTAINING CREDITS: Maintain education database and ensure accuracy of credits; receive, review, and process continuing education credits; answer education inquiries via phone and email from participants.
TECHNOLOGY & TROUBLESHOOTING: Assist with creating educational content for LearningStream ; assist with site maintenance for the LS and current education website. Troubleshoot questions from participants who are experiencing issues with the education website and live webinars.
STAFFING CE COURSES: The ability to work occasionally evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Provide off-campus support.
DOCUMENTATION & REPORTS: Assist with handling the timely and accurate input and maintenance of accreditation documentation and program files, financial disclosure forms, commercial support letters, records of attendance, etc. Develop, administer, and analyze assessment/evaluation questionnaires. Compile statistics and prepare reports
OTHER DUTIES: Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and two years of progressive experience in a Continuing Education setting.
OR
Associate's degree from an accredited college or university and five years of directly applicable Continuing Education experience.
OR
High School Diploma/GED and ten years of directly applicable experience in a Continuing Education setting.
Preferred Qualifications
A minimum of five to seven years of experience in professional development regarding continuing educational programs for healthcare professionals. Knowledge of CERP & state guidelines, and licensing agencies. Familiarity with professional development or programming for educational institutions is a plus.
Preferred Educational Qualifications
Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Business or Marketing.
Preferred Experience
Experience in educational and/or healthcare facilities regarding continuing education operations. Knowledge of CERP guidelines. Leadership experience. Marketing experience.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
KNOWLEDGE
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Zoom Webinars.
SKILLS
Excellent computer skills: marketing, publicity writing, social media platforms, calendar management.
ABILITIES
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to work collaboratively in a wide-range university environment.

Conditions of Employment
All selected candidates are required to successfully pass a Background Check review prior to starting with Augusta University.
If applicable for the specific position based on the duties: the candidate will also need to have a credit check completed for Positions of Trust and or approved departmental Purchase Card usage.
Motor vehicle reports are required for positions that are required to drive an Augusta University vehicle.
