Qualifications: Doctoral degree in English, with a specialization in Victorian and Romantic Literature. Candidates should provide evidence of 1) Record of successful teaching at the university level; 2) Ability to teach courses in the specialty area, survey courses in British Literature, and Composition. 3) Potential for developing a distinguished scholarly and professional record. Preferred Qualifications: 1) Ph.D. completed by the time of appointment; 2) Ability to teach Children's Literature; 3) Commitment to working with diverse student populations; 4) Potential for active and sustained participation in recruitment; 5) Ability to provide collegial service and academic advising.

Responsibilities: Teach courses in the major, the Liberal Studies Program, and General Education. Maintain active agenda in research and scholarship. Provide collegial service and perform academic advising. Actively and effectively recruit new students to the program.
