Primary Purpose of Position:
The Lecturer position will teach nursing courses and develop instructional material related to area assigned. The Lecturer will evaluate student clinical performance according to established criteria and course objectives. In addition, the Lecturer will perform related duties such as advising students on academic curricula, formal and informal instruction, counseling students, original work or research, preparation of new courses, and serve on various campus and community committees.
The Lecturer position requires a Master of Science in Nursing; PhD preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Commitment to diversity and inclusion in fulfillment of the universitys mission; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; excellent analytical skills and reasoned judgment; ability to work both independently and collaboratively with others; candidate must have at least three years of clinical experience in psychiatric or adult health; candidate must have at least three years of teaching experience in psychiatric or adult health.
