Basic Function/Overview:
This opportunity is temporary, hourly as needed without permanent employment status.

Working Hours: Between 10 - 21 hours/week to be mutually agreed upon

Major Duties & Responsibilities:
Tutors in the classroom are placed and work with a specific English or AmLa professor and class. Their duties include one-on-one tutoring and group tutoring sessions for their class. Tutors also support group work in the classroom and are expected to meet with the professor and familiarize themselves with course curricula. Additionally, tutors in the classroom are expected to formulate group writing topics, and be familiar with the writing process, writing strategies, research strategies, grammar rules, and all course-specific materials.

Official offers of employment are made by the Mt. San Antonio College Office of Human Resources and are made contingent upon Board approval. It is also required that a final offer of employment will only be made after the candidate has successfully been fingerprinted and clearance for employment is authorized by the Office of Human Resources.
