Head Women's Golf Coach

UIW Mission

Position Summary
The UIW Head Women's Golf coach is responsible for all aspects in leading a competitive NCAA Division I women's golf program to include, but not limited to: coaching (practice and in-game), recruiting, meeting NCAA APR requirements, fund-raising, providing positive encouragement towards student-athlete development, scheduling, and hiring staff.

This position is considered a "Responsible Employee" under Title IX federal regulations and "Mandatory Reporter" under Texas state law and the UIW Sexual Misconduct Policy. As a Mandatory Reporter, this position requires you as the employee to promptly report any incident that you witness or receive information about Title IX violations. These reporting responsibilities are set out in the UIW Sexual Misconduct Policy.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Demonstrated ability to recruit, coach and teach highly talented student-athletes.
Ability to adhere to all policies, rules and regulations of the university, the Southland Conference and the NCAA.
Demonstrated ability to market and promote UIW womens golf.
Must exhibit leadership and professional behavior in dealing with student-athletes.
Must be a team player, and have the ability to support and assist other employees.
Must be dependable and have strong customer service skills.
Be willing to work various hours including weekends, evenings and some holidays.
Follow the Mission of the University.
Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.

Required Education
Bachelors Degree.

Required Work Experience
Minimum of three years of NCAA collegiate golf coaching experience OR three years of collegiate playing experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Masters Degree.
Division I collegiate golf coaching experience.

Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations
None specified.

Work Hours
Typical Mon through Fri 8am to 5pm with flexibility.

Physical Demands
Typical for coach in this field.
