Position Summary


Essential Functions
Acts as the key student engagement specialist for the Rose Hill campus Develops, manages and oversees strategic marketing campaigns with the Marketing and Communication Assistant Director; partners with student clubs and organizations, student leaders by department, and residence hall directors, as well as identifies and establishes new campus partnerships Develops flyers and contributes to Career Center social media channels for programs and events at the RH Campus Coordinates tabling and on-campus events to promote Career Center events, Handshake, and additional resources. Collaborates with the Student Engagement Team to streamline marketing and promotions at both campuses Directs and supervises the Fordham Career Ambassador (FCA) Program at the RH campus; oversees FCA recruitment, training, and advising, and collaborates with the Executive Board to develop special programs and events for students Designs and conducts presentations for all Fordham students as well as targeted offerings for unique student groups. Develops specialized networking opportunities for Fordham students in collaboration with University partners. Serves as the liaison to the Office of Student Involvement and Residential Life at the RH Campus to advance professional development initiatives. Represents Career Center at orientations, University trainings and professional development events. Manages database conversions and oversees all technology efforts for Career Center. Manages day-to-day operations of technology resources and act as the liaison with Information Technology and other departments as necessary Supports professional and staff development managing association memberships, internal resource acquisition and employee recognition Oversees first destination data collection for all Fordham Students, including leading outreach, overseeing the support of caseloads, communication with Handshake, assisting partners in use of the platform, building partnerships with other divisions and departments to stream-line collection of data. Supervises three (3) part-time Student Engagement Strategists (SES) ; monitors and evaluates performance. Coordinates and leads SES staff meetings; provides monthly updates to ensure consistent communication. Collaborates with the Executive Board of the Fordham Career Ambassadors (FCAs) to assist them in building internal and external partnerships and reaching their annual goals; conducts monthly meetings to help them maintain momentum and continued outreach. Supports programs to address career interests of students, alumni, and recruiters serviced at both campuses where students experience a classroom in the world outside Fordhams doors. Develops and delivers workshops, orientations, individual counseling, computerized assessments, and rsum writing to Fordham students. Assists in the coordination of testing programs such as Myers-Briggs, Type Indicator and Strong Interest Inventory. Develops a digital career library with targeted resources by major and industry. As necessary, manages front desk operations including: answering inquiries, greeting visitors, maintaining files and scheduling appointments, responding to emails and approving job postings. Responsible for other special projects as assigned.



Required Qualifications:
B.A./B.S. in relevant area Minimum 2-3 years experience in higher education, career services, human resources, or public service Significant and related work experience will be considered in lieu of completing academic qualifications. Must be knowledgeable of latest technological advancements/resources in career services. Must possess excellent leadership, management, organizational, interpersonal communication, and time-management skills. Must be creative, highly motivated and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Should demonstrate ability to develop rapport with a variety of constituents such as students, employers, university administrators, faculty and deans. Should possess knowledge of computer office software and online technologies (Handshake, Canva, Virtual tools, Zoom, Excel) Willingness to travel, work early mornings and evenings, and occasional weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
M.A./M.S. in relevant area preferred. (Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health, Counseling)
