Required Qualifications
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have a terminal academic degree (PhD, EdD, DSc) in physical therapy or in a related field. Board certification is preferred. Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years of clinical/professional experience and must be eligible for physical therapy licensure in Georgia. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.Effective communication and interpersonal skills with diverse populations and ability to work in a collaborative, problem-solving manner are required.

The Department of Physical Therapy at Augusta University (formerly known as Medical College of Georgia) in Augusta Georgia, invites applications for a full-time, 12-month position as a core faculty member of the Doctor of Physical Therapy program, rank of Assistant/Associate Professor. Our program boasts a long history of excellence and large network of strong clinical relationships. We are seeking physical therapy educators with a terminal degree. Responsibilities will include teaching in the candidate's area of expertise, maintaining a productive scholarly agenda, and providing service as required by the department, college, or university. Participation in a faculty practice environment is also available. Additionally, an opportunity exists to participate in our orthopedic residency program and PhD in Applied Health Sciences program. Candidates must be committed to student-centered education as well as working cooperatively with faculty and staff.
