Overview
Employment Status: Full-time, "exempt" probationary position.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday from 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. Occasional evenings and weekends as needed.

Salary Range: Anticipated salary range from $5,325 to $6,333 per month.

Typical Activities
Under general supervision, the Organizational Change Facilitator (Associate, Academic and Institutional Studies II) will facilitate the assessment of operational or learning outcomes and satisfaction in units within the Divisions of Information Technology Services, Administration and Finance, University Advancement, and the President's Office.

Typical responsibilities include the following:

  • The incumbent will be responsible for designing and managing mechanisms and methodologies for the collection and analysis of data for use in decision-making, planning, and programmatic change in support of those units seeking assistance.
  • The incumbent will provide support to staff to develop and improve programs based on evidence and demonstrated need, and will provide individualized guidance in the development of program goals and outcomes, timelines, assessment plans and measures to foster improvement or to enhance institutional effectiveness through the systematic assessment of outcomes.
  • In close partnership with other assessment leaders in Academic Affairs and Student Affairs, the incumbent will design and deliver in-service instruction and professional development training focused on program design, outcomes articulation, and the use of evidence and data to foster continual program improvement.
  • The incumbent will assist in the implementation and coordination of assessment operations in units within the Divisions of Information Technology Services, Administration and Finance, University Advancement, and the President's Office, and collaborate with departments, programs, and units in maintaining a repository of assessment and evaluation of data using CampusLabs and other tools to prepare the institution for the reflective process of assessment.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience:
  • Four years of progressively responsible administrative, technical, or professional analytical experience which demonstrates the ability to conduct substantive surveys and studies of problems and issues in assigned areas OR the rank of Associate Professor or higher in a four-year college or university and demonstrated experience in research or special study work may be substituted for the four years of experience.
  • Applicants must possess the equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university.
  • Applicants must have experience in Word, Excel, and assessment tools (e.g., CampusLabs, other) is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Three years of related, progressive professional experience applicable to the current job description is preferred.
  • A Masters or Doctoral degree in social science, education, assessment, or related field and experience in higher education is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Applicants must possess a working knowledge of survey principles, techniques, and skills in their application, along with general knowledge of principles of organization, administration, and management.
  • A general understanding of research, statistical methods, products and practices related to the assessment of student learning or operational outcomes is required.
  • Demonstrated superior written and oral communication skills are required.
  • Applicants must possess the ability to analyze administrative problems and to make appropriate recommendations.
  • Applicants must possess a demonstrated ability to perform, apply complex survey techniques, and analytical reporting.
  • Applicants with the ability to work well independently and within a team.
  • Applicants with the ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple projects concurrently, work collaboratively, meticulous attention to detail, think critically and strategically, highly organized, perform under pressure, and have a great sense of humor.
  • Applicants must possess a high tolerance for ambiguity, self-directed, show sensitivity to multiple ways of knowing, skillful in coaching and facilitation, experience in applying adult learning theory, and a commitment to creating innovative and meaningful results.

A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU.
