The Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Department at the University of Utah Asia Campus (U Asia Campus: https://asiacampus.utah.edu/) invites applications for a career-line (non-tenure-line, renewable contract) position of Assistant Professor (Lecturer) or higher rank at the U Asia Campus location in Songdo, Korea. The responsibilities include teaching Electrical Engineering (EE) courses, including introductory classes in Circuits, Physics, Robotics, and/or Advanced 3000-level courses in Electrical Engineering, etc. (in English). The position also involves engaging with students through club activities and contributing to department and university services. The position's start date is for the Spring Semester 2027, with appointment beginning on Feb. 1st, 2027, in New Songdo City, South Korea. Applicants should hold an EE/CE/Physics PhD or an equivalent degree by the time of the appointment and exhibit a strong commitment to teaching. Experience with and interest in teaching in a multilingual context are preferred, and international teaching experience is also preferred.

All ECE courses at the U Asia Campus are taught in English, and instructors are expected to deliver lectures, course materials, and academic instructions in English.
U Asia Campus full-time faculty members are provided with a health benefit plan and child tuition benefits. Housing in Korea will be provided to eligible international hires who require visa sponsorship and relocation to South Korea. Visa sponsorship will be provided, and as a condition of employment, the successful candidate must be eligible for a work visa in South Korea. The U Asia Campus also provides some personal and professional travel and professional development funds.
