At the College of Nursing, we champion and nurture individual student success while providing a rigorous but accessible education that prepares you for the nursing workplace, academia and leadership as you progress throughout your career. Advanced degree options are available for the bachelor and masters prepared nurse with our Doctor of Nursing Practice programs, PhD in Nursing, and Post Masters Certificates. Job Summary
This position is responsible for managing operational and promotional aspects of the Doctor of Nursing (DNP) programs such as Faculty Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to:
Establishes priorities and is proactive in developing new ideas and procedures for DNP Program improvements. Maintains high-level knowledge of all aspects of the DNP degrees and communicates effectively with the public. Provides and ensures resource support for program faculty and the DNP Director.
Manages information related to the DNP Program: Works with databases and Banner software for tracking of student and program related information; maintains filing systems for programmatic documents. Develops systems for real- time data retrieval that is accurate and complete. Monitors and reports student/graduate outcomes such as board certification and scholarly activities.
Provides administrative support for the DNP Programs and the Admission Committees. Attend meetings, create agendas, prepare handouts, transcribe minutes and distributes to committee members. Maintains committee files. Collaborates with the Program Director to plan and implement program specific orientation.
Creates DNP Program related materials for presentations at seminars, conferences and meetings to actively recruit students, and participates as a department representative as required. Works with CON Dean's office communication personnel to ensure that program -related web content and recruitment materials are continually updated. Collaborates with off-campus sites for student orientation and facilitation of classes and clinical experiences.
Liaison to Augusta University Office of Academic Admissions and The Graduate School: Receives student application files, provides applicants with interview video information, track prospective student requests, and coordinate advising assignments for students enrolled in the program.
Works collaboratively with CON Academic Affairs, CON Student Affairs, and Clinical Coordinators to collect and manage student program data in an efficient manner to provide for easy retrieval of real-time information, for student recruitment activities and promotion of the DNP Programs to potential students or faculty educators.
Responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating a recruitment strategy for DNP Program students. Manages, analyzes and reports DNP program data. Provides managerial support to the DNP Program Director/Track Coordinators.
Provides and participates in cross-training with other Program Managers on a continuing basis for business continuity purposes in the event of an absence. Maintains an accurate and up to date desk reference for all job duties and responsibilities.
Provides administrative support for the DNP Program related grant activities.
Other duties and CON events as designated by the DNP Program Director.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with three years of related experience in an academic setting.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree from an accredited college or university
Preferred Experience
Experience with Banner, PeopleSoft and OU Campus.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Excellent customer service, interpersonal, time management, multi-tasking, organizational and verbal/written communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and other computer software/databases
Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines despite often interruptions, maintain confidentiality, keep accurate records and make independent decisions.

Pay Band: 8
Salary: Minimum $21.83/hour
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
