Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Assistant Dean, Adjunct Faculty Support the Coordinator will focus on the recruitment of Adjunct Faculty and Academic Support positions at the College. This position will coordinate all recruitment and onboarding processes and projects as it relates to the Adjunct Support Office. The Coordinator will partner with Human Resources in utilization of the applicant management system and hiring process to remain compliant to established procedures.

  • Manage applicant search process for all adjunct faculty and academic support positions.
  • Coordinate the requisition process for all adjunct and academic support positions including posting, correspondence and closing of positions.
  • Assist in developing position postings for adjunct and academic support positions reviewing language for consistency and reflection of the Higher Learning Commission qualifications.
  • Provide direct applicant support on issues/concerns with the applicant process or system.
  • Coordinate the adjunct and academic support applicant flow processes and facilitate methods to continuously improve the applicant experience and new hire paperwork completion process.
  • Participate on adjunct search committees when applicable to provide guidance and direction to ensure appropriate hiring/selection processes are followed, including training of diversity initiatives and goals.
  • Perform active sourcing for difficult to fill positions, which will include identifying potential resources that would yield qualified diversity candidates.
  • Complete initial screening of adjunct/academic support applicants via phone, video or in-person as needed.
  • Responsible for reviewing and utilizing adjunct faculty and academic hiring activity reports to understand recruiting fill time and applicant flow metrics.
  • Assist hiring managers with the development of structured interview processes for selection of adjunct or academic support candidate's.
  • Assist in the development of interview guides targeting questions on applicable competencies.
  • Coordinate post offer background checks per the position requirements.
  • Collaborate with the managers of Adjunct Faculty Support on orientation and training of new hires.
  • Partner with the divisions across the college, payroll and HR team to coordinate processing paperwork for new hires.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Qualifications:

    • Education
      • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field required.
    • Experience
      • Minimum three years experience with full-life cycle recruitment processes within a high volume, fast paced environment required required.
      • Must have experience with applicant tracking/management systems required.
      • Proven knowledge of state and federal employment laws required.
      • Experience within higher education particularly with hiring faculty preferred.


    Working Conditions:

  • This position requires a background check and drug screen.


  • Hiring Range:
    Starting pay begins at $49,640 based on experience.

    Competitive starting pay is dependent on education and experience.
