Location

(Primary Location for Job Responsibilities) Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.

Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Job Summary

Contributes to the prevention, acute care, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries within recreational programs. Provides medical coverage of athletic activities, advises on the prevention and care of athletic injuries, team-teaches athletic training classes, and assists in the daily operation of a clinical space under leader supervision.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: -
1. Performs injury evaluations and makes skilled assessment of injuries
2. Performs treatments with various appropriate modalities including ultrasound, ESTEM, ice, etc.
3. Performs application of various preventative taping and bracing procedures
4. Performs administration of therapeutic and preventive exercise protocols
5. Provides acute and critical care coverage for club sports home games, including off-campus home locations, and supports clinical evaluation/rehabilitation care hours. May provide coverage for Intramural games
6. Communicates effectively with athletes to educate about injuries, rehabilitation, and exercise protocols
7. Documents clinical care, injury notes, and provides administrative support in HIPPA-compliant software databases appropriately

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in Athletic Training, Sports Medicine, Kinesiology, or related field.

Other Required Qualifications
Current, valid, and unrestricted driver's license
NATABOC Certification
Possess or eligibility to obtain and maintain a Georgia state licensure within thirty (30) days of hire
First Aid/CPR/AED certification

Required Experience
One (1) year of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Preferred Qualifications
First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor certification

Preferred Educational Qualifications
An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field

Preferred Experience
Previous experience in athletic training in a post-secondary level program or professional training in a related sports program

Proposed Salary

The budgeted salary range is $51,600 to $60,000 per year. Offers are based on relevant experience. Strong treatment tracking and notes
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite)
Maintains a strong working relationship with the supervising physician/practice
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
