Boston University's Research Development Office seeks a detail-oriented and collaborative Limited Submissions Manager to lead the University's central coordination of limited submission funding opportunitiesincluding grants, cooperative agreements, and fellowships that restrict the number of institutional proposals. This position ensures BU consistently submits competitive applications while maintaining transparent, equitable, and strategically aligned internal review processes. The Limited Submissions Manager will oversee the administration of BU's Limited Submissions program from opportunity announcement through nomination and submission coordination, ensuring that all internal competitions run smoothly and on schedule. The manager will administer LSO application systems, including InfoReady, with responsibility for portal setup, application routing, permissions, and backend maintenance in coordination with other offices. The position requires compiling and disseminating clear, concise information about LSO funding opportunities, eligibility requirements, and internal selection processes to faculty and research leadership. The manager will coordinate and facilitate internal review processes, including the recruitment of reviewers, scheduling of review sessions, and development of tailored review rubrics that support equitable decision-making. The position requires building and maintaining strong collaborative relationships across BU, including partnering with offices such as School of Medicine, Boston Medical Center, Foundation Relations, Federal Relations, and Industry Engagement to identify, track, and manage LSO and nomination opportunities. The manager will maintain and analyze LSO-related dataincluding opportunity tracking, participation rates, and outcomesto support institutional reporting, process improvement, and strategic decision-making. Additionally, the position includes disseminating a weekly LSO Digest that compiles current opportunities and maintains subscriber lists, while collaborating with the Director of Communications to keep the LSO webpage current and accessible.

Required Skills

Bachelor's degree and 3 or more years of relevant experience required. Masters degree and familiarity with funding landscapes, including federal agencies, foundations, and industry funding sources preferred.
