Job Summary:
We are currently seeking skilled and team-oriented applicants for the following position: Assistant Soccer Coach. Working under the direction of the Head Soccer Coach, it is the responsibility of the Assistant Coach to assist in the administration of this NCAA Division I Intercollegiate program while adhering to all university, Big Sky Conference and NCAA rules and regulations. This position will work closely with the equipment staff, sports medicine staff, athletic facility staff, Assistant Athletic Director for Student Success and Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance. They will also work collaboratively with relevant constituent groups on campus. The job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, coaching duties, recruiting duties, administrative duties and other duties as assigned by supervisor. This position will also require some game day operations duties and travel to all away games.

The salary for this position is $47,740 - $51,856. Where the hired candidate will begin within this range is dependent on education, experience, and skills. Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in a related field
  • NCAA coaching experience
  • Current USSF, United Soccer Coaches, UEFA coaching license
  • First Aid/CPR/AED certification within the first 90 days of employment
  • Experience and knowledge of all applicable rules and regulations of the NCAA, Big Sky Conference, and other established bodies that govern intercollegiate athletics and University
  • Obtain NCAA Coaches Certification for off-campus recruiting within 30 days of employment and annually thereafter
  • Demonstrated ability to apply a responsive and flexible approach that is supportive of the needs including universal access of our students, faculty, staff and the public

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in a related field
  • Three (3) years or more of womens soccer coaching experience at the NCAA Division I level
  • Experience training goalkeepers

RECRUITING DUTIESIn collaboration with Head Coach, oversee all aspects of recruiting efforts and develop policies and procedures to ensure womens soccer program compliance with NCAA rules and regulations regarding recruitingArrange travel for coaches for all off-campus recruitingOrganize all aspects of official visits for prospective student-athletesLiaise with Athletics Compliance office to ensure all appropriate communications are recorded and paperwork completed per NCAA, Big Sky Conference & EWU rules & regulationsWork with Athletics Business Office on maintaining recruiting budget & communicate in advance any possible issues that might arisePercent of Time: 30

Conditions of Employment:
  • Travel may be required a minimum of twenty-five (25) nights per year for team competition and/or recruiting.
  • Must annually pass the NCAA Coaches Certification Test for off-campus recruiting.
  • This position, during the course of university employment will be involved in the receipt of, or accountability for, university funds or other items of value, as well as the unsupervised access with the developmentally disabled, vulnerable adults or children under the age of 16. The offer of employment is contingent upon successful completion and passing of a background check prior to beginning employment.

Salary Information:
The salary for this position is $47,740 minimum salary (minimum) up to $51,856 top salary being offered. Where the hired candidate will begin within this range is dependent on education, experience, and skills.
