Job Summary
JOB SUMMARY
Performs information systems support and development in three or more functional areas, including but not limited to data control, applications training, data coordination and scheduling, data security administration, IT project coordination, web/software development, etc.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Enterprise Design & Administration: Manage, research, design, develop, and deploy enterprise systems and strategies for mission critical departmental technological needs. Also defines standards and insures scalability and proper integration into current and future departmental wide services.
- Directory Administration & Design: Administer departmental user & workstation directories. Define standards then research, design, develop and deploy unified departmental user and workstation directories
- Endpoint Security: Manage, research, design, develop, and deploy enterprise systems and strategies for endpoint security including but not limited to macOS, winOS, and unix/linux distributions. Also should build tools to deploy updates and fixes to reduce the occurrence of errors and improve customer experience
- Data Integrity & Disaster Recovery Administration: Research, design, and deploy data storage and backup systems for departmental needs. Quality assurance for all client and server disaster recovery models and methods. Manage periodic reporting and testing of entire system.
- Network Design & Administration: Research & design departmental networks across all department locations. Evaluate current and future needs and strategies for mission critical highly available services. Defines standards and insures service availability & scalability along with proper integration into current and future departmental wide services.
- Departmental Application Development: Manage, research, design, develop, and deploy internal applications and database systems for department needs.
- Elevated Help Desk: Provide elevated help desk support when necessary for end user incidences. Train, Track, and monitor incidences to provide recommendations for overall change management at lab, division, and departmental levels. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks.

Seldom: Bending, reaching overhead.
MUST BE ABLE TO LIFT 50 POUNDS.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalency or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) and 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within areas of specialty.
Preferences
PREFERENCES
- A minimum of 2 years' experience supporting Windows and Mac OS.
- Experience with Directory Services such as LDAP, Active Directory and/or Open Directory.
- Experience with cross-platform software, protocols, and hardware.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills. Strong time management skills.
- ITIL Certification or Knowledge.
- Embody a culture of collaboration, transparency, and candor.
