Research Assistant/Analyst

Job Summary

We are searching for a reliable, detail-oriented, collaborative team member to assist with clinical studies of brain stimulation, depression, and substance use disorders.  The research assistant/analyst will work closely with the principal investigator, research coordinator, clinical staff, and regulatory entities to ensure that all research activities are performed efficiently, ethically, and in accordance with regulations and policies.  The research assistant/analyst will directly interact with study participants, collect and manage clinical and brain imaging data, and perform data processing.  The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and verbal skills; experience with human-subjects research; a bachelor degree or equivalent; and a strong interest in creating new knowledge that will ultimately improve treatment and prevention of neuropsychiatric disorders. 

Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
- Attend investigator and team meetings
- Run study visits, which sometimes occur in the evening
- Assist investigators and coordinators in collection of clinical data
- Administer questionnaires and clinical scales
- Past experience with Research Electronic Data Capture (REDCap) software is desirable
- Manage and process brain imaging data
- Maintain study files, participant folders, and study databases
- Maintain up-to-date training, education, and certification as required by protocols
- Assist coordinators with recruitment and screening of potential participants
- Assist coordinators with scheduling and participant payments
- Develop and maintain rapport with participants during longitudinal studies
- Order supplies or equipment needed for study activities

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a Social or Behavioral Science, Liberal Arts, or a field related to the area of research, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience); one year of experience in research and analytical techniques; demonstrated statistical and quantitative analysis experience; and demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills required.

This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements. Preferences
Prefer a candidate with prior experience with clinical trials, research assessments, and brain stimulation.
