(Primary Location of Job Responsibilities) Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.

Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Department Information

DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for day-to-day enrollment verifications
2. Assists with National Student Clearinghouse processes
3. Processes enrollment verification requests as needed
4. Assists with enrollment reporting through the National Student Clearinghouse

Job Summary

Interprets, analyzes, evaluates, documents, processes, and communicates information regarding Board of Regents (BOR) and University transfer evaluation policies & procedures to students, academic departments and the advising community in order to provide a seamless transition for transfer students.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Manages assigned caseload of transfer evaluations and transfer course substitutions annually across a spectrum of degrees and majors (caseload varies by semester)
2. Articulates all transfer credit for prospective, new and currently enrolled transfer students in preparation for student enrollment, degree planning, and academic advisement by articulating credit derived from academic transcripts, military credit, and prior learning assessment; reconciles credit discrepancies
3. Analyzes, interprets, researches and evaluates college catalogs for equivalencies making final decisions concerning acceptability of transfer credit ensuring compliance with transfer evaluation policy and procedures
4. Generates and analyzes degree audit to apply degree applicable transfer courses to student records
5. Informs transfer students regarding potential transfer credit and prior learning assessment opportunities
6. Assists with testing student information systems, applications, and updates
7. Serves as a student advocate with advisors and academic departments to seek seamless resolution to transfer evaluation inquiries
8. Interacts with admissions, financial aid, academic departments and advising personnel to resolve concerns related to transfer credit evaluations and degree applicability
9. Participates in Commencement ceremonies each semester

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in related field

Required Experience
One (1) year of related administrative, office or clerical work experience

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Preferred Qualifications
Experience performing transfer evaluations for domestic and international transcripts
Proficiency with University modules related to transfer articulation and student information systems
Familiarity with The University System of Georgia (USG) policies related to transfer credit and/or degree programs
Experience in enrollment management and/or academic affairs and/or advising
Previous higher education experience
Previous experience working in an Office of Registrar at an institution of higher education
Experience working in a customer service setting
