Job Summary
This position is a member of the new Human-Environment Administrative Cluster (AC). The position will work closely with the department of Anthropology and support with cross training and coverage for the School of Environment, Society & Sustainability. These units are engaged in exciting teaching, research, and community outreach across a wide range of topics covering human-environment interactions.
This position involves supporting administrative tasks with the Human-Environment AC. This AC thrives in a team-oriented environment that emphasizes communication, professionalism, service, stewardship, and engagement.
Responsibilities
- Acts as a primary contact for Faculty and supports faculty-related processes and paperwork for initiatives such as retention, promotion, tenure (RPT), tenured faculty review (TFR), Career-line, adjunct, visiting faculty (CAV), leaves of absence, faculty and administrative appointments, faculty activity reporting (Elements), etc.
- Coordinates closely with experts in the AC, Human Resources, Finance, and Facilities. Prepares necessary forms to remain within compliance with university and AC workflows and policies.
- Ensures timely and efficient completion of tasks.
- Supports with course scheduling and undergraduate programming.
- Initiates procurement for AC needs.
- Supports departmental travel approvals and timely submission of receipts.
- Cross training and coverage with AC staff .
- Other duties as assigned .

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience). Three years experience that includes specific involvement in maintaining complex financial records, developing and monitoring departmental budgets and preparing related reports; and demonstrated organizational, human relation and effective communication skills.
