Job Summary

The Office of Contracts and Grants (OCG) with CU Boulder is accepting applications for an Award Coordinator! This position provides a variety of support to the teams within OCG which include award logging, Subcontracts and Contracts team support, and other sponsored project functions to assure compliance with a variety of University, State, and Federal policies and regulations. This position will report to OCG's Assistant Director, Subcontracts, with responsibilities to the Assistant Director, Contracts and other OCG managers when performing duties for their teams. This is an exempt professional position requiring discretionary and professional judgment while performing OCG functions and projects, including those involving sponsors of all types. This is a full-time, limited term position that will last 9 months.This position supports the work of the University in data entry functions and special projects. The person in this position must learn and independently complete the data entry workflow and logging functions with a high degree of accuracy and the ability to interpret proposals, award documents and sponsor requirements. The mission of OCG is to help UCB faculty, staff, and students obtain and manage external funding for sponsored projects. What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Award Logging:
  • Monitor OCG general email inbox for incoming award documents.
  • Identify proposals submitted for the resulting award document and make judgments on whether the award is a grant or contract.
  • Determine if the award document is related to an existing award.
  • Identify budgetary elements to include in the system.
  • Research the full award document and the sponsor's general guidelines to make challenging determinations.
  • Enter data into the system in support of OCG Officer's broader responsibilities.
Subcontracts Team Support:
  • Complete subrecipient risk analysis on behalf of OCG.
  • Ensure verification checklist is in compliance.
  • Review budget and collect cost/price analysis forms.
  • Process fully executed subagreements.
  • Monthly Federal Funding and Transparency Act (FFATA) reporting.
  • Monitor subcontracts email inbox and triage incoming messages.
Contracts Team Support:
  • Log agreements without funds into infoEd, as well as additional data entry as needed.
  • Gather internal subcontract documentation to support receipt of incoming award funds.
  • Email inbox support.
Other Projects:
  • Support leadership on additional special projects and administrative duties.


What You Should Know

  • This position offers the option of either a hybrid format (virtual and in-person support) or fully remote work.
  • This is a full-time, limited term position (9-months). Additional funding to continue this position after the limited term is not yet determined.


What We Can Offer

  • The annual salary for this position is $51,000.
