Job Duties:

The Department of Chemistry at Bucknell University invites applications for a one-year faculty position in organic/general chemistry at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor to begin August 1, 2025. The teaching load for this position will be six courses for the academic year (three per semester). If interested, the successful applicant will also have the opportunity to design and offer an advanced seminar course in some area of their expertise in the spring of 2026. A Ph.D. or ABD in chemistry or a closely related field is required.

CHEMISTRY DEPARTMENT

The Bucknell Chemistry Department offers BA, BS, and MS degrees, and our faculty represent the breadth of the discipline. Department infrastructure includes a wide range of advanced instrumentation that is available for faculty and student research and teaching. The Department values hands-on instruction in smaller class and lab sizes, and promotes undergraduate involvement in research and community outreach.
