Wellness Coordinator

Job Summary/Basic Function:
The Wellness Coordinator position is responsible for assisting with planning, designing, implementing, delivering and evaluating Everett Community College's Employee Wellness Program.

The program includes, but is not limited to fitness classes, health screenings, benefit fairs and health risk assessments, health and fitness fairs, awareness events and motivational contests.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for assisting with generating reports such as wellness program tracking and utilization, risks changed and program analysis.

Typical Duties may include:
  • Assist with developing, planning, marketing and executing wellness initiatives and programs.
  • Establish relationships with other internal departments to be involved in any event that has a wellness component (such as walking challenges, and lunch and learns).
  • Work with SmartHealth and Public Employee Benefits Board to increase participation in lifestyle management programs, increase compliance rates for preventative screenings and preventative medicine, overall.
  • Assist in partnering with the Cafe to offer healthy food options.
  • Assisting with gathering data to measure success on wellness programs and initiatives.
  • Assist with conducting employee benefit surveys and focus groups.
  • Develop creative program materials, including promotional pieces.
  • Integrate wellness/fitness program initiatives into culture and organizational mission.
  • Assist in special projects and initiatives.
  • Assist in the measurement and evaluation of the program components.
  • Create Wellness Events Calendar, set bi-weekly meetings and create agendas.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
    Demonstrated commitment to creating a culture of Wellness
    Demonstrated experience or strategies for working effectively with a diverse group of employees and/or vendors
    Strong organizational and time-management skills
    Familiarity with Microsoft Office Programs including Word, PowerPoint, Publisher and Excel

    Preferred Qualifications:
    Prior experience as a Wellness Coordinator
    Experience with event organization or coordination

    Work Hours: Part time, maximum 69 hours per month. This position typically works 15 hours per week. Depending on events, may require adjusting hours to meet programming needs.
