SUMMARY:

The Web Content Developer Task Worker, under the general direction fo the Director of Web Applications, assists in the development, deployment and analysis of web based marketing solutions for the university and our campus partners.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assisting web development area with the migration of the university website to WordPress.
  • Communicating with stakeholders to understand industry specific subject matter and help to communicate their ideas to a general audience.
  • Copying, pasting, and creatively editing content into design templates.
  • Editing and publishing WordPress pages
  • Filling websites with effective keywords
  • Identifying powerful keywords to drive the most valuable traffic
  • Research and reporting on best practices regarding web publications
  • Reviewing content
  • Reviewing, rewriting, reorganizing and moving client sites to improve and optimize performance
  • Writing effective calls-to-action to convert visitors
  • Writing effective SEO content for blogs, websites and social media accounts

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Language Arts, Communication, Computer Science, Marketing, Visual Communication, or, an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Experience / Knowledge / Skills: Experience in excellent writing and editing skills in English. Excellent verbal communication skills. Competence in scope writing, including hour estimates, team narratives, and timeline projections. Needs to be very computer literate. Strong organizational, time management, and analytical skills
  • Ability to: Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Ability to think creatively, strategically and identify and resolve problems.

PREFERRED EDUCATION / SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE:
  • Prior experience in content marketing, content growth and SEO. Experience with website optimization tools. Familiar with Google analytics. Working knowledge of search engine optimization practices.
