TEMPORARY TEACHING POSITIONS IN THE DEPARTMENT OF THEATER AND DANCE Areas of specialization could include; acting, directing, voice, and movement. Open date: August 21, 2019. Initial review date: September 4, 2019 (Complete your application by this date to ensure full consideration by the committee.) Final date: October 31st, 2019 (Applications will continue to be accepted until this date, but those received after the review date will only be considered if the positions have not yet been filled). The Department of Theater and Dance invites applications for temporary teaching positions on an ongoing basis. Temporary appointment positions are variable in terms of percentage of time. They will range from one quarter to one year with the possibility of reappointment that is dependent upon performance and departmental needs. Information about the UCSB Department of Theater and Dance is available through the Department's web page: http://www.theaterdance.ucsb.edu/ Applicant should possess an MFA degree or equivalent professional experience (7 years professional acting and/or directing experience). College or University teaching experience is desired. Five years working as a professional actor, director, or theater professional is preferred. The Department is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching and service.
