JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Department at WPI creates Impact Makers who have the knowledge, skills and perseverance to solve problems that matter and bring big ideas to life. The Senior Associate Director of Entrepreneurship at WPI will build and support a vibrant portfolio of entrepreneurial programs and develop a squad of ecosystem partners including, seasoned entrepreneurs, subject matter experts, mentors, advisors, and investors. The role will have primary responsibility for managing WPI's flagship entrepreneurial program, the Tech Advisors Network (TAN) and will identify, develop, test, roll-out, and grow new entrepreneurial programs designed to support the WPI community. The Senior Associate Director of Entrepreneurship will report to the Executive Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities

Work with the I&E Executive Director and team to create a vibrant I&E culture and eco-system through the development of innovative student programs and experiences that will inspire discovery, a 21st century skills development, and an innovation/entrepreneurial mindset.
Manage the Tech Advisors Network (TAN) and related I&E programs.The Tech Advisors Network is a resource of entrepreneurial WPI alumni and friends of WPI engaged as mentors and advisors to aspiring entrepreneurs, WPI students, faculty, alumni, and Worcester area community members.
Identify, develop, test, roll-out, and grow new entrepreneurial programs designed to help the WPI community with all phases of new venture development ranging from ideation and market segmentation to product market fit and customer acquisition.
Collaborate across the schools at WPI to support boot camps, workshops at accelerators on both WPI's Worcester Campus and WPI's Seaport Co-Working Space.
Develop a student engagement and marketing strategy to drive participation in these programs and utilization of the Foisie Innovation Studio.
Develop, track, and report-out metrics of success in alignment with the short and long-term goals of the I&E program and strategic plan.

Requirements:

3+ years as a company founder or member of an early stage startup preferred.
BA / BS degree required. Master's Degree preferred.
Experience working in an Academic Setting strongly desired.
Ability to develop and recommend strategic plans for I&E programs and ability to develop implementation plans for existing and new programs.
Ability to work autonomously; and prioritized and execute multiple high importance / high urgency tasks.
Superior skills in managing teams of volunteers, faculty, staff and students.
Professional, detail-oriented and achievement-focused.
Excellent judgment and a great sense of humor.
