Purpose:
The Department of Theatre and Dance at Santa Clara University, a Jesuit Catholic University in Silicon Valley, seeks applicants for positions of Adjunct Lecturer (part-time) in Modern Dance Choreography - Rehearsal and Performance for the fall and winter quarters.

Salary: $1,650 per quarter course load.

Basic Qualifications:
MFA in Dance required. Prior experience choreographing at the university level or commensurate professional experience. Commitment to teaching theatre and dance within a liberal arts context.

Responsibilities:
Duties include but are not limited to:
1. Create an original modern dance on 10 or more intermediate/advanced dancers for Images 2018.
2. Participate in Images audition and conduct all assigned rehearsals.
3. Responsibility to assess student performance and communicate to Images director.
4. Fulfill other instructional or academic duties, such as attending faculty meetings or department special events, as may be assigned by the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences or the Chair of the department DANC 29/129 Rehearsal and Performance. Create an original modern dance on 10 or more intermediate/advanced dancers for departmental dance concert Images 2018 (.25 course load per quarter). Rehearsals to be conducted weekly through Fall and Winter quarter to culminate with Images in February 2018. Be available for Images audition tentatively scheduled for September 27, 2017.
